About Valhallan Floating Saunas
Valhallan Floating Saunas is Minnesota’s only mobile floating sauna company, and the only manufacturer in the USA craft-building authentic Finnish-style saunalauttas: fully navigable sauna boats that combine the freedom of boating with the deep relaxation of a traditional sauna.
What We Do
Floating Sauna Rentals
Our wood-fired floating sauna is based at Tri-Birches Resort in Hackensack, MN. Book a session there, or have it delivered straight to your dock anywhere in Minnesota.
Custom Builds
We design and build custom saunalauttas and floating and land-based saunas on Tritoon or Permafloat hulls, for lake homes, cabins, resorts, Airbnbs and rental businesses.
Four-Season Saunas
Valhallan saunas are built for year-round use. In winter, units run as land, skidhouse or trailer saunas for the ultimate cold-plunge setup.
How We Build
Every Valhallan sauna is designed around löyly, the soft, enveloping steam that makes a Finnish sauna feel right. We build with premium Western Red Cedar for rot resistance, stability and that unmistakable aroma. We follow Trumpkin’s Rule, raising benches so your feet sit above the top of the stove rocks and your whole body stays in the warm steam. And we use flat or gently pitched ceilings so steam rolls down evenly over every bather.
